I finally caught up with my neighbor, "Laverne," today. The kids were in their pajamas and we walked over to her house to talk to her. She is completely opposed to the traffic circle, because- get this- these are her exact words:
"I don't believe in the government slowing down all of the traffic on the street because some people can't teach their kids to look both ways before crossing the street."
I am shocked and saddened by this response, and not sure what to do from here.
