But it starts today. So here we go:
Halloween was everything I had dreamed of and more...
The referee, the headless baby dinosaur,
Superman, and his vampire Mommy
Superman, and his vampire Mommy
We went trick or treating with friends in their neighborhood. Tino caught on pretty quick and charged ahead with the other "big kids," racing up to a door, collecting his candy, and then dashing off to the next house, cape flying behind him. We lagged behind, shouting, "Say thank you!" at his back. Victoria was the youngest child in the group and also the slowest. She was much more interested in eating the candy she had than in amassing more in her pumpkin bucket. She refused to let anyone carry the bucket for her, so this slowed her down even further. She also strongly objected to wearing the fuzzy dinosaur head. Even so, she looked darn cute in her costume.
The next day, Tino woke up, climbed into bed with me, and said, "Mommy, I want to go trick or treating again!" They have each eaten about 4 or 5 pieces of candy since Halloween but have since forgotten about it. So it will be up to me and Dave to eat the two buckets full. Hopefully it will be gone by the time we need those buckets for next year's Halloween...

What a fun Halloween! I'm glad it was all you have imagined and hoped for.
ReplyDeleteYou can always donate the candy... or even sell it to a local dentist. There are several around here that pay by the pound for the candy!
